Take a cycle tour to explore the history of Napoleon, the famous general and emperor.
The Papiermühle inn at the start of the route is where Napoleon’s soldiers camped on their way to the battlefield in Jena. The ‘On the trail of Napoleon’ cycle route retraces the history of 200 years ago, taking you past memorial stones and through the Windknollen nature conservation area to the Napoleon Stone before ending in Auerstedt. From Bad Kösen you can use the regional train service to return to Jena’s Paradies station.
